Privacy Policy

Charity Clarity (“CC”) and our legal entity EPG Strategic Communications Limited collects different types of information about our users for the following main reasons:

• To help us to monitor and improve the services we offer
• To provide personalised services unique to individual users
• To use anonymous details about our users to sell appropriate advertising space on the site. This might mean showing an advertiser how many users we have on the site; it does not mean sharing an individual’s details with an advertiser. Where we collect registration information from an individual, we will never share that individual’s information with a third party, including an advertiser, without that user’s explicit permission.

Website usage information

We collect information on our users as follows: through cookies, through registration and where you choose to disclose data in postings. We will not pass on any individual user details (including your email address) for third party use unless we have your prior consent.You may possibly be included in photographs and videos taken at our events that you may be invited to, and choose to attend. These images may be published in our reports and website of Lalcap Ltd or a third party, but shall never be sold.

We always ensure that all employees and contractors we use in connection with the running of the website and services are subject to strict contractual obligations. They are only able to process data on our behalf and in accordance with our principles and instructions and not for any other independent purpose.

In most cases, we collect this website usage information in a way which does not identify you and we do not attempt to link this information with the information that we collect about our contacts referred to above. However, if you arrive at our website by clicking a link in an e-mail we send, our software provider may link website usage information to your email address as described in the Email section below.

We do not collect information such as age, gender, interests, bank details. The collected data gives an overview of how people are accessing and using the Charity Clarity website and to limit the purpose and minimise the communication from our side.

We will share anonymous aggregate statistics about our users, sales and traffic patterns with our advertisers.

Email

From time to time, we may send electronic copies of bulletins and other material to some of our contacts.  The e-mail software that we use to send this material allows us to collect information about which contacts have received and opened our HTML e-mails. It does so by tracking when images and links contained in each email are retrieved and clicked on respectively. We collect this information to monitor and improve the effectiveness of the material we send by email. You are able to block the collection of this information by adjusting your e-mail software’s privacy settings to prevent the automatic downloading of images (although if you do, some or all of an email’s content may be unavailable unless you manually select to download images in that email) and by choosing not to click on the links. Rights

We are absolutely committed to protecting your privacy. Our policy can be summarised in one sentence: we will not share your information with other others without your prior consent. We will use and store any personal data we collect in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).  The data controller for the purposes of the Act is EPG. Under the Act, you may make a ‘subject access request’ to find out if we hold any personal data about you (and obtain a copy of such data if we do) and opt out of your personal data being used for direct marketing purposes.
