This charity works to promote for the benefit of the public, in partnership with the police and other bodies, the protection of people and property from, and the prevention of, criminal acts, in particular amongst the older adult community of Avon and somerset, in particular but not e0clusively by: 1. The provision of a crime prevention and social inclusion advisory service to benefit the wider older adult community of Avon & somerset. 2. The provision of an enhanced victim support service, known as ‘the platinum service scheme’, to benefit senior victims of specific crimes. 3. To engage with the older adult community and foster improved links between this group, and statutory authorities for mutual benefit. 4. To create, and publish a quarterly crime prevention and social inclusion newsletter to be named ‘the senior siren’.
