Compassion Direct is based in South Warwickshire and works directly with children & families in shanty towns, rural mountain schools, refugee camps & communities.They provide educational materials, a woman & child development center, libraries, educational materials, rainwater harvesting tanks, industrial sewing machines,vegetable gardens, wind turbines,wells, hand knitted clothing & send aid to refugees. They are all volunteers & their work is entirely dependent upon voluntary contributions. The charity was found in 2003 when they supported people living in shanty towns in Argentina and then moved on to helping rural mountain schools without water, nutritious food and basic facilities. They raise money in the UK and give to communities directly in need in consultation with local groups.
